I served two tours in Vietnam in the 1division and the101airborne division. I served as a infantryman and a sniper , and received eight commendations three of them were bronze stars with oak lead clusters with V devices for valuer.

When I came home these items were placed in a box and eventually thrown away. Thanks to my wife MaryGrace

with her endless patients wrote to Washington, the war department and who knows what other agencies until she recovered my commendations. She placed them in the display case and presented it to me. MaryGrace convinced me to display these with pride and honor. Which I do today, it took me over 30 years to be convinced of this. Thanks to my wife she made me proud instead of ashamed.
